Conquer Hunger Fund

The Conquer Hunger Fund provides financial assistance so schools may offer healthy school lunch and/or snack programs to students in need.

Every day there are thousands of children and youth who go to school hungry, wondering where their next  meal will come from. Children who face this reality are often powerless to do anything about it.
 
Unmet nutritional needs for our children makes it very difficult for them to learn, to pay attention, and to behave properly. Time and again, research has shown that hungry children are sick more often and have lower academic achievement scores.
 
In 2015, Edmonton Catholic Schools only had the funds to provide a basic breakfast or lunch to 2,200 students, at eight schools. More help is needed. Because of additional community resources, you can sponsor a child for a daily healthy school meal for only $97.00 per year.
