Dream Maker Fund

The Dream Maker Fund offers financial subsidies to students experiencing poverty so that they may participate with their classmates in field trips, summer or winter camps, as well as other social, recreational, and educational events/activities- both within and outside the school calendar. ​

Final Report

Champion Projects Fund

A Champion Project is a submission to the Edmonton Catholic School Foundation (by ECSD staff) requesting financial support outside of teaching dollars on behalf of students or their families within any of the Catholic schools in Edmonton. There are two granting periods a year. Proposals must be submitted by:
​March 15 Spring applications are due
November 15 Fall applications are due 


​Champion Projects Fund Eligibility Criteria: 
1. Champion Project applications which request funding for ECS District wide student Conferences (e.g., B.E.S.T., Makers Space, Young Authors, etc.) do not qualify for a  Champion Project Fund grant.  Such an applicant will be contacted, and it will be recommended that they resubmit their funding request as a Dream Maker application.

2. No more than two Champion Project applications per school/per grant period (i.e., March and November) may be submitted for consideration by the Foundation.

3. The following Champion Project Ranking Rubric categories will be used to assist in the scoring of each Champion Project grant application by the Champion Project Review Sub-Committee:          
  1. The Project is student-generated/involved
  2. The Project costs are clearly specified
  3. The Project may demonstrate Catholic social justice in action
  4. The Project supports the development of student leadership and/or team-building skills
  5. The Project  supports the spiritual development of the students and/or enhances Catholic identity
  6. The Project has a long term impact on the students, the school and/or community​​
